Mercedes-Benz India today launched a performance oriented Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 4MATIC Coupé in India. The AMG GLC 43 Coupé sets new standard for driving performance and exclusivity, as it directly derives its technology from Formula 1. The performance SUV Coupé features segment’s most potent and efficient turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a ‘One Man One Engine’ hand-crafted exclusivity. Bought in by CBU unit for now, the pricing stands at RS 1.10 crore.

Mobility to Delight aims to provide customers with a seamless and delightful mobility solution while their vehicles are being serviced. Under this program, customers can receive ‘Mobility Support*’ if their vehicle is in our authorized workshop for over 3 working days, with the required customer approvals. This support is available during the standard 3-year warranty period for Periodic Maintenance (PM) and General Repair (GR), in line with the program’s terms and conditions.
The Mobility support would be in form of a courtesy vehicle of any Mercedes-Benz model subject to availability at that point in time with the authorized dealership wherein the customer has given the vehicle for maintenance or general repairs. *Please note that the vehicles which are in the workshop for any accidental works, Body & Paint related work and/ insurance related work would not be eligible under Mobility to Delight program.
The heart of the new Mercedes-AMG GLC Coupé models is the AMG 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine, with an electric turbocharger that combines innovative technologies and high performance with exemplary efficiency. The engine remains true to a tradition typical of the brand: it was not only completely developed at the company’s Affalterbach location but is also manufactured there in manufactory quality according to the “One Man, One Engine” principle. Mercedes-AMG combines the craftsmanship of its highly qualified employees with the most modern production methods of Industry 4.0 and a high level of digitalization.
The engine, known internally as M139l (l for longitudinal installation), is so far the only series engine in the world that is charged with an electric exhaust gas turbocharger via the additional 48-volt on-board electrical system, which also includes the belt-driven starter generator (RSG). The system is a direct derivative of the technology that the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team has successfully used in the premier class of motorsport for many years. The new form of charging guarantees particularly spontaneous response across the entire speed range. This leads to an even more dynamic driving experience and at the same time increases efficiency.
Expressive SUV design to match the sporty performance of the powertrain: The Mercedes-AMG exterior stands out clearly, thanks to the AMG-specific radiator grille with vertical struts and the AMG front spoiler lip. The AMG front apron in jet wing design with large air inlets, vertical fins and additional flics sets striking, independent accents. In the rear, the two-part taillights visually widen the rear view with a black, dark red connecting element. The AMG-specific rear apron in a diffuser looks with the black round tailpipes reinforce the powerful impression.
The AMG Exterior Night package contains the painted exterior mirror housings, the inserts in the AMG side sill panels, the beltline trim strip, the window surrounds, and the trim strip in the rear bumper in high-gloss black. Multiple MANUFAKTUR paint finishes are available, exclusive to this Mercedes-AMG series is the MANUFAKTUR High-Tech Silver Magno.

The steering layout contributes to increasing dynamics and comfort. The three-stage AMG parameter steering has a variable steering geometry ratio that adapts to the driving programme selected. Active rear-axle steering is also standard. Rear axle steering with a maximum steering angle of 2.5° provides noticeably more agility during sporty driving maneuvers.
AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 9G transmission in which a wet starting clutch replaces the torque converter. The elaborately coordinated software ensures extremely short switching times and, if necessary, quick multiple downshifts. In addition, the double-declutching function in the “Sport” and “Sport+” driving programmes delivers a particularly expressive shifting experience. The RACE START function is also applied, which guarantees optimal acceleration from a standstill. In the “Comfort” driving programme, the ECO start/stop function is activated automatically, the “Coasting” function can be activated in “Individual”. In the GLC 43 4MATIC, all-wheel drive has a permanent power distribution between the front and rear axles of 31 to 69 percent for higher driving dynamics and improved traction.
The 5 AMG DYNAMIC SELECT driving programmes for the GLC 43 enable a wide range of vehicle characteristics from comfortable to dynamic. The individual driving programmes offer an individual driving experience, precisely tailored to different driving conditions. The “SPORT” and “SPORT+” drive programs are designed for dynamic handling, where the engine’s response, the gearshift behavior of the transmission and the tuning of the suspension and steering are particularly sporty.
AMG GLC 43 4MATIC Coupé is equipped with the AMG RIDE CONTROL steel spring suspension with adaptive damping adjustment. It combines sporty driving dynamics with high long-distance comfort. The AMG sports brake system guarantees outstanding deceleration values and the best controllability in the GLC 43. Internally ventilated and perforated brake discs measuring 370 x 36 millimeters with 4-piston fixed calipers are mounted on the front axle, and 360 x 24 millimeters at the rear with 1-piston floating calipers.
