Hero Destiny Prime was launched in India some time back. Priced at Rs 71,499 (ex-showroom), which is Rs 6,880 less than the Destini 125 XTEC, it is a cheaper version of the 125 cc scooter. The scooter is designed similar to the older version of the Destini. The scooter is available in three color options: Pearl Silver White, Nexus Blue and Nobel Red.
Visually, the Hero Destini Prime borrows a lot of styling cues from the previous generation scooter such as the halogen headlights (unlike the XTEC which has an LED headlight), the grab bar and the color mirrors of body The Prime comes with 10-inch steel wheels, unlike the XTEC which comes with alloy wheels. Some of the features of the scooter include a digital analog speedometer, a charging port in its storage compartment and LED driving lights. The scooter does not have Bluetooth connectivity provided with the XTEC version.
As for the cycle parts, the scooter is suspended by a telescopic fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking functions are handled by drum brakes at both ends of the scooter. As for the powertrain, the scooter is powered by a 124.6 cc air-cooled engine that produces a maximum power of 9 bhp and a peak torque of 10.36 Nm, Hero claims an average of 56 kmpl for the Destiny Premium. The fuel tank capacity of the scooter is 5 liters.
