2017 KTM Duke 390 has been spotted inside the factory, the motorcycles has been designed to look like the 1290 SuperDukeR
This is it folks. After being spotted testing worldwide many times over the past one year, the 2017 KTM Duke 390 is all set to be unleashed on the foreign soil soon. The motorcycles has been uncovered and it looks like it has been done so inside the factory gates. The motorcycle has heavy resembles of the SuperDuke when it comes to cosmetic design of it. The front bikini fairing, the multi colored chassis, and the tablet inspired speedometer sticking out like on the Super naked SuperDuke.
Look closely it can fool the eye and can look like a SuperDuke, but you can see the chassis mounting is different, the exhaust is routed the same way that it is done in the current generation KTM Duke 390. The swingarm is the same, the wheel and tyre size seems same as well. LED indicators continue to be spotted and the fork size seems same as well.
The new tank, the new switchgear, adjustable levers and the new design rear sets and gear lever come from the latest versions of the KTM Duke and RC 390. What we can see clearly, the major change is the new headlights which look like LED and are split in design just like the SuperDuke.
Engine wise, it will stay around the similar displacement mark, we can expect either lower or higher cubic capacity from the 2017 KTM Duke 390. The motorcycle will surely make the same horsepower and torque which is 45 BHP and 35 Nm of torque. We can expect some changes to those numbers as well.
A traditional exhaust is expected too. In fact, every number including dimensions, power ratings, gearing could be different. Expect all new engine character and much more refinement from the new motor and compromise on some areas. India launch is still far away, but going by the way the last generation was launched, first international and then domestic launch should follow in mid 2017.
