2017 KTM Duke 200 continues to stay the same with subtle changes all around which are intend to make sure it is refreshed completely

Bajaj-KTM have thrown the world in a bag and shaken it completely. The old bikes weren’t praised for its styling but it was complete opposite when it comes to performance. Bajaj-KTM has however offered the 200 in the previous avatar for now as the show stealers are the Duke 250 and 390 at the launch. The Duke 200 gets subtle changes all around to make sure it is refreshed and continue to impress entry level KTM buyers with this motorcycle. Let’s look at the changes are on offer with the 2017 KTM Duke 200 model.

2017 KTM Duke 200 Pictures Design and Dimensions

Everything remains the same as the old Duke 200. The livery and color scheme does make it stand out and every other body panel remains the same on the motorcycle. The large mudguard at the rear, the same headlamp and tail-lamp are on offer. The wheels are now orange and the trellis frame continues to be black.

2017 KTM Duke 200 Chassis, suspension and brakes

Duke 200 continues to get non-adjustable suspension at the front. Rear monoshock is the same as it is 8-way adjustable. 320mm large disc brakes at the front and 230mm disc brakes at the rear with four piston at the front and single piston at the rear are here backed by ABS. We see adjustable levers on offer by Bajaj on this model.

2017 KTM Duke 200 Engine And Specification

We see the same 200cc engine on the same which offers 4-valve, DOHC valve train that similar horsepower and torque figures as before. Expect major refinement with the engine than before. Gearing is the most critical part and we expect it to change to by a good margin. 26 BHP and 19 Nm of torque are the specifications of the engine. The engine is now BSIV as well

2017 KTM Duke 200 Safety and Features

ABS is being offered with the motorcycle. Feature list is same as before as it offers, clock, coolant temperature, two trip meter, odometer, digital tachometer, average speed, fuel efficiency and other fuel efficiency parameters as before.
