All New 2019 Hyundai Santro Launched At an introductory price is expensive but it has a lot of standard features
Hyundai today launched all new Santro in India at Rs 3.89 lakhs for the base Dlite variant going all the way up to Rs 5.45 lakhs for fully loaded Asta Trim. The CNG priced at Rs. 5.65 lakhs. The Santro is available in a total of 5 variants and comes in both manual and AMT options. The safety features such as driver side airbag, ABS with EBD, and seatbelt reminder is standard across the range. Under the Hood, a 1.1-liter naturally aspirated petrol motor powers the new Santro with an output of 69bhp and 99Nm. The CNG Santro gets 59 PS of power.
5-speed manual gearbox is standard across the range while you get option of 5-speed AMT in Magna and Sportz variants. The hatchback is also available in CNG variant which comes with a reduced output of 59bhp and 84Nm. The fuel efficiency is rated at 20.3 kmpl for the petrol and 30.5 km/kg for the CNG version.
Santro’s base Delite variant doesn’t get the AC and feels too basic in nature. One rung above is the Era variant which gets both AC with heater and power steering features. Magna variant comes next and features a 2-DIN music system, rear AC vents, and power windows. It is available in both manual and AMT options.
Stacked above the Magna is the Sportz variant which features a touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, navigation, and mirror link connectivity. It also gets reverse parking sensors, full wheel caps, rear defogger, and steering mounted controls. Like Magna, one can have either manual or an automatic variant on this trim. The top Astavariant in Santro range gets reverse camera parking and rear washer and wiper.
It also gets body colored bumpers and outside rear view Mirrors. In the Indian market, the new Hyundai Santro is up against the likes of Maruti Celerio, Tata Tiago, and Renault Kwid among others.
