Tork Motors, a Pune-based electric vehicle startup that still has electric motorcycles in its portfolio, was recently spotted testing an electric scooter for the first time. Despite being well hidden, some details are easily deciphered and the back of the scooter is clearly visible in the spy photos.
It looks like the scooter will have a large tail section to accommodate a wide, wide one-piece seat and will likely have a large grab bar on the production version. In addition, the rear wheel is suspended by double springs and driven by a mounted motor. These factors make it an affordable and family friendly electric scooter.The technical details of this electric vehicle are not yet known, but it is expected to have a range of about 100 km and a top speed of 80 km/h.
At least keep up with the competition.
Now, given the growing demand for electric scooters for the family, it’s only fitting that Tork Motors follows that path, with its first scooter. Mainly compared to Ather 450S and Ola S1X. We believe Tork Motors will try to keep the price around Rs. 1 lakh mark (ex-showroom) which puts it above most of its competitors.The launch date of this scooter is not confirmed as of now but it is expected to debut next year.
