The year 2023 was almost packed with great motorcycles and the number of launches way less than we anticipated. 2024 Already promises a lot of action in first few months with almost confirmed launches set for this year. Big and small, motorcycles are coming in and so much is happening that we can put a list right away for you to expect!
Aprilia Tuono 457 – we said this again and again. Before the launch of the Aprilia RS 457, we told you the Tuono 457 would come. Now a retro roadster also 457 seems on the card also!
400 RS – A surprise, but not by Triumph legacy, the RS version of the Speed 400 will come with much more sportier suspension setup with and asking price of Rs 30,000 more over the current price tag.
2024 Bajaj NS400 – Confirmed by Rajiv Bajaj itself, the NS400 is on its way in March-April 2024. Perimeter frame, USD forks, 40 PS motorcycle is incoming with a Dominar engine. This might be a new engine with a single spark!
2024 Bajaj Chetak – Set to come in 2 variants, the scooter will be heavily upgraded with connectivity option and bluetooth also! Two different range option with a similar battery will make the Chetak even more appealing than it already is in department of fit,finish, quality and a strong historical design.
KTM 125 Duke – KTM will launch an attack all over again with its popular KTM Duke 125 which will people love a lot in a new design with similar performance and hopefully, a similar price tag too. KTM Duke 200 does not seem to be on the card for an upgrade just as yet.
RE 650 – Platform engineering is playing a significant and slightly redundant role at Royal Enfield. Every engine will see be mated to every body style to meet all sorts of demand at minimum cost expenditure. A case study from Triumph, RE seems to be applying it at lower and mid level cubic capacity motorcycles.
RE Shotgun 650 – Showcased in late December, set for a launch in January 2024, the motorcycle is essentially, a bobber with two seats and slightly different than the Super Meteor 650 that it heavily based on. The bike does look great on paper and in photos with exceptionally quality all around with just about enough features on offer.
Hero Xoom 125 & 160 – Game changing scooters from Hero could actually change their fortunes in the Indian market. The enthusiast are clearly looking forward to something like this for a quite while. If hero executes this right, the high powered scooter in normal and maxi avatar for the 125 and 160 respectively, could change the game.
Hero 440 – Based on the Harley 440 platform, hero seems to be bringing a street fighter along with an adventure bike with the same platform. 40 PS of power in a Hero will show the enthusiast market new options to choose from and provide excellent fun to ride motorcycle like Hero is churning out since 2018.
2024 Husqvarna Vitpilen & Svartpilen – Ready to come in 401 and 250 avatar, this time Husqvarna, aka Bajaj who is handling the marketing of the brand will make sure it caters to both critical cubic capacity that are doing really well. Priced under 3 Lakhs for the Husqvarna 401 and 2.5 for the 250cc units, the Husqvarna with its updated aspects which are basically a fix for the previous ergonomics and comfort issues can easily be accepted in the market.
BMW R1300 GS – Legendary motorcycle upgraded in every single manner with a new chassis, suspension, bigger engine and lot more electronics with a brand new look is set to make the motorcycle much more fun!
Ducati DesertX Rally – A potent version of the already impressive Desert X Rally, the Ducati will come to indian market and offer enthusiast serious desert and canal crossing capabilities!
Suzuki Hayabusa Anniversary Edition – Clearly, a collectors edition incoming to India as already the Hayabusa is always sold off instantly on its launch. Expect this one to vanish into thin air on the road and off the showroom shelves!
Suzuki V-Strom 800 DE – An upgrade over the V-Strom 650, the motorcycle will be more powerful, more potent, more capable for touring, off-roading and whole new level of riding with new chassis and suspension!
Triumph Daytona/Supersport 660 – Set to be revealed in January and eventually launched in Feburary 2024, The 660 will get more much over the normal 660 variants. A better suspension, a slightly more powerful engine and a Daytona badge that will take the game to a higher level and compete with the Kawasaki ZX-6R in India.
Yamaha YZF- R7and MT-07 – Europe’s favorite can be India’s favorite instantly too once these two motorcycles come here, only at the right price. The big bikes prices have been better than the small one’s and we are hoping for the same with these 700cc twins which are made on a budget in the first place!
