Audi has just announced that they are assembling the Audi Q3 and Q3 Sportback in India. The Q3 was launched late last year and the Q3 Sportback was launched this year. Audi just mentioned that they will make it in the SAVIPL plant that is Maharashtra. Usually, there is a price cut when this happens but Audi has not announced anything. If we were to believe the trend of the pricing, looks like Audi priced them accordingly with inflation in mind and hence there is no price cut on these models. These twins are almost well priced, but there is scope for some discounts which could be reserved for later at the dealer end or factory end when prices come down or whenever Audi India decides to discount it. Audi is getting things right, but this move is always expected with discounts by customers who loathe paying custom duty. Something that could backfire for the brand.
However, that isn’t happening anymore. The trust in the brand is on the rise these few quarters. Launches plus service and after-sales plans are exhaustive making customers buy the product without a long debate, unlike in the past. Audi is rewarding prospective and current customers for their patronage. Audi India sales were through the roof this quarter and it was the highest to date. The same applies to the entire VW group who are focusing harder on after-sales and service aspects and continuing with launching popular and global models in India with petrol and EV powertrain.
