Audi Quattro GmbH Becomes Audi Sport GmbH as the manufacturer now turns its attention to making sports cars that have been received well
Audi being a German automobile manufacturer known for their design, engineers, products, markets, luxury vehicle and for their pumping driving performance. The Quattro technology which is a four-wheel drive system by Audi which was first found in 1980s, and was implemented first in the vehicle named Audi Quattro which was permanent all-wheel drive system that was used as a road car and especially for Rally racing.
Audi trademarked the name ‘Quattro’ and it is now always spelled with a lower case ‘q’. Audi set up their Quattro GmbH headquarters in Neckarsulm in October 1983,which has manufactured high-performance sports cars, delivering high-tech concepts. Now it has around 1200 employees and Stephan Winkelman has been the managing director of the company since march 15,2016.
Since then Quattro GmbH has produced successive models like the Audi R8, Audi RS which represent the sporty vanguard of the brand and providing luxurious comfort. The model RS was a great success for Audi due to its high-performance, practicality that provides five seating capacity and a large luggage compartment. The model RS currently comprises of
• Audi RS 3 sedan.
• Audi RS Q3, Audi RS Q3 performance.
• Audi RS 6 Avant, Audi RS Avant performance.
• Audi RS 7 Sportback, Audi RS 7 Sportback performance.
• Audi TT RS Coupe, Audi TT RS Roadster.
The Audi R8 is the flagship sports car model of Audi, the car was introduced in 2007 which was packed with state of the art technology which included mid-engine position, light weight frame construction technology, Quattro drive and many more TECHs. It made the car an absolute adrenaline rushing Sports car that can tackle corners with lots of grip and it was a perfectly suited race track performance car.
Now Audi has decided to change the name Quattro GmbH to Audi Sports GmbH. Over the past five years Audi have doubled its sales, over the next 18 months Audi Sports GmbH have planned to launch 8 new models and increase the dealership from 370 now to around 600 by the end of 2017.
