Bajaj Haathi Mat Palo advertisements showcases Royal Enfield motorcycle in poor light as every aspect is highlighted in a insulting manner
We all remember in 2017 when Bajaj Auto had launched the Dominar 400 in India, it also had shown us an add. Yes, we are talking about the “Haathi Mat Palo” advertisement which was directly used to mock Royal Enfield. Well the Pune-based motorcycle manufacturer has launched the 2018 Edition of the Dominar 400. In addition to it, they have also released a sequence of the “Haathi Mat Palo 2” advertisement. The advertisement is divided into 3 parts and has been released on Bajaj Auto’s social media channels.
Part1:
This advertisement starts off with the thumping sound in the background and one elephant rider in the river signalling another to brake on the slope. But it couldn’t stop in time and the rider splashes into the river. Mean while a rider on the Bajaj Dominar arrives and stops within no time. Bajaj here clearly tries to boost the baking ability of the bike which also comes equipped with a single channel ABS system. On the other hand the classic 350’s still misses out on a rear disc brake.
Part2:
The second advertisement showcases, how a couple of elephant riders are trying to get their elephants getting going in cold temperatures and the elephants refuse to get up. While a couple of riders appear and sit on their Dominars and start if off and ride out with ease. Here, Bajaj tries to mock the cold start issues that many of the Royal Enfield bikes face.
Part3:
The last part of the advertisement showcases a group of elephant riders warning the fellow riders to move behind as they cant climb a steep slope. In sometime riders on the Dominar 400 appear which are being signalled to slow down and stop as the elephants are moving backwards, but the Dominars cruise along the steep slope with the ease.
In addition to this Bajaj has also printed the phrases such as “Born To Ride”, “Independent” and “Ride The Wind” with the thumping sound in the background. While this add has tried to showcase the product and it features, it has also hurt the sentiments of many Enfield fans.
So the 2018 Dominar 400 by Bajaj is identical to the previous model and is also mechanically unchanged. This new edition now gets a new paint scheme in addition with the Gold Dust colour alloy wheels.
