Benelli TRK 502X and 502 India Launch Done at a good price tag of Rs. 5.0 lakhs for the 502 and Rs. 5.4 lakhs for the TRK 502X
Benelli is looking to expand its portfolio in India with new models. The first off the block will be TRK 502 which will be offered in two variants – the standard TRK 502 and spruced up TRK502 X. In fact, the latter was spotted testing on Indian roads recently and now it has been launched.
The TRK 502 X comes with a 500cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled, petrol engine capable of putting out 47.6hp @ 8,500rpm and 46Nm @ 5000rpm. The power will be transferred to the via a 6-speed manual transmission. For the suspension duties, Benelli has utilized 50mm upside down (USD) telescopic forks up front while at monoshock unit with adjustable pre-load condition is used.
A 320mm dual-disc provides the stopping power at the front and rear gets 260mm diameter arrangement. What is sure to make braking more effective is dual-channel ABS that comes as a standard part of the equipment.
In terms of wheels, TRK502 X gets spoke wheels rather than alloys. Up front, a large 19-inch wheel graces the bike through at rear bike gets 17-inch tire. Despite its performance-orientation, Benelli TRK 502 X scores well on practicality with diameter arrangement its 20-liter fuel tank. The large capacity tank ensures that one can enjoy the ride without worrying about refuelling. The bike is expected to weigh around 200kg which does blunt the performance, but should be great for amateurs to get a feel of an adventure bike.
