BMW X7 SUV India Testing Begins as the car can be seen with mild camoflauge in some part of the country
For the very first time, the upcoming flagship SUV of BMW, the X7 has been spied in India before its launch in January 2019. This new 7-series SUV will be the biggest and most luxurious BMW till date and expected to be priced at around Rs 1.6 crore for its top-of-the-line M50d diesel variant.
BMW X7 will come with a dominating road presence thanks to its huge 5163 mm of length. The SUV is 1999 mm wide, stands 1805 mm tall, and features 3103mm of wheelbase. X7 is 228mm longer and 53mm taller than X5 though in width, X5 leads the comparison by 5mm. Wheelbase offered on X7 exceeds the X5’s by 129 mm. On the front, X7 comes with LED headlamps and a massive grill while in the rear; the SUV uses LED signature tail lamps. X7 rides on 21-inch machine cut alloy wheels which are shod with low-profile tires.
The features and equipment inside the X7’s cabin include 4-zone automatic climate control, dual-tone upholstery, a large 12.3-inch touch screen infotainment system with gesture control, 3-panel sunroof, wireless charging system, and wifi hotspot. BMW will also offer some optional features like 10.2-inch rear seat entertainment system, heads-up display, seats with heating/cooling function etc.
X7 features a 6-seat seating format with front- and middle-row captain seats and third-row bench seat arrangement. The front and the middle row can be controlled electronically while the last row although comes in bench configuration still offers sufficient space and comfort for the occupants.
Under the Hood, BMW X7 could receive 3.0-liter, 6-cylinder in-line turbocharged diesel delivering 400bhp and 760Nm in top M50d variant. X7 will also receive 3.0-liter, 6-cylinder in-line petrol with 340bhp in xDrive40i variant. Customers can also opt for more affordable diesel, xDrive30d with 3.0-liter 6-cylinder diesel producing an output of 265bhp.
