BSA Gold Star is expected to make its debut in the Indian market on August 15. The company released a teaser for the launch, featuring the 650cc single-cylinder engine and the BSA logo prominently.

The BSA Gold star, which has been in the international market for a while now, is finally ready to enter the Indian market. The designs are more aggressive than their predecessors, with features such as fuel tank design, curved bars, side panels and plenty of chrome details all around.

The has a 652 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine producing 45 PS at 6,500 rpm and 55 Nm at 4,000 rpm and is paired with a six-speed manual transmission. The bike has a telescopic handle on the front, a metal trigger on the back and runs on a spoked wheel. The brakes are controlled by single discs on both sides, equipped with ABS as standard.

Positioned as a direct rival to the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650, BSA sells the Star in Britain at prices between £6500-7000, while the former costs between £6400-6900. Here the 650 series also starts at 3.03 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Single or twin, what will you prefer?
