Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles launches the Jawa 350 Rs 2,14,950 (ex-showroom Delhi). The new Jawa 350 is claimed by the company to be the quickest accelerating, best handling, best braking, safest classic motorcycle available in India today, which wasn’t really a complaint earlier. The Jawa 350 claims a class-leading 178 mm ground clearance which is longer than before, ensuring less of a problem on our roads than before. The 334cc liquid-cooled engine comes with 22.5 PS of power and 28.1 Nm of torque with a slip assist clutch on offer. The 297cc engine was more powerful with 27 PS. The Jawa 350 now has 194 kg of kerb weight and 184 kg of dry weight. The 790 mm seat height, which is now a significant jump from the 765 mm of the past. The 178 mm ground clearance is up from 165 mm as well.
Since the company is claiming more refined riding dynamics, we expect the suspension to be stiffer and not have any ground clearance issues at all even at the hand of novice riders or humungous speed breakers either. The Jawa 350 now replaces the Jawa Classic aka also known as “Jawa Jawa”. The Jawa portfolio now comprises the Jawa 350, Jawa 42, Jawa 42 Bobber and Jawa Perak. The Classic Jawa 350 will go against the likes of the Royal Enfield Classic 350, which it easily outshines on paper, and it is cheaper by Rs 10,000.
