Technology company Continental’s Technical Center India showcased its consistency and commitment to excellence by emerging victorious in two categories at the 2022 Zinnov Awards. The awards were won for both team and individual efforts in the categories Best In Class Center of Excellence and Technical Role Model. This is the 13th edition of the prestigious awards by Zinnov, a global management consulting and strategy advisory firm that is a key player in identifying, motivating, and furthering the technology GCC sphere in India.
Expressing delight at winning the award, Latha Chembrakalam, Head of Continental Technical Center India, said, “This award is a statement that testifies Continental TCI‘s continued efforts in the space of R&D and reaffirms our excellence as an organization. TCI has R&D competence catering to global requirements, developing some of the sophisticated automotive technologies such as ADAS and Connected Mobility. We also have competency in advanced engineering topics and co-create value through collaboration between multiple business segments. As a center, our focus is on value creation, and we will continue to focus our engineering expertise in the pursuit of making mobility safer and more sustainable.“
Pari Natarajan, CEO, Zinnov, said, “This year, Zinnov Awards have expanded the breadth of categories to recognize organizations and individuals that have integrated innovation and excellence into the fabric of their operations. India is uniquely placed to be a beacon across different dimensions of technology, talent, innovation, and scale. We are excited to honor the winners who have made a significant impact as collaborators and pioneers of value creation in the ecosystem.“
The Best In Class Center of Excellence award is in recognition of Global Capability Centers (GCCs) that are constantly innovating in specific research areas, while also acting as drivers to aid collaborations across business segments. The basis of the award was on a variety of factors that determined how the CoE acts as an invaluable link to enhance organizational value.
Continental’s Autonomous Mobility Radar CoC team which won the award began modestly in 2014 as a support team for the larger set-up in Germany. The team has, since, grown multifold in terms of numbers and competence, and today the CoC functions independently with full ownership of several key topics. This is a key contribution to the autonomous mobility business of Continental and the industry in general, considering Continental’s industry no. 1 position in automotive radars.
Leading from the front
