Datsun Redigo 1.0 Litre Engine Equipped Car Launched at a value for money pricing
For all the Datsun lovers out there, we have good news for you. Datsun is launching its new hatchback the redi-GO which has a more powerful 1.0 litre engine today. It will share the same powertrain as the Renault KwidSCe. Since it has a different styling all together the likes will be vast.
This car is much easier to drive in the urban areas as it has high seating position and a very healthy ground clearance. The redi-GO is shorter than the low slung Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 but it has made it up by offering a wider and a taller cabin with a loads of boot space too.
As mentioned above the 1.0 litre 3 cylinder engine in the new redi-GO has a max power of 68 PS and 91 Nm of peak torque. So by this we can see the raise in power and torque by 14 PS and 19 Nm respectively. This car is much easier to ride in the city and just requires a fewer down shifts top pick up the pace.
The redi-GO delivers a fuel efficiency of 22.5 kmpl as per the new ARAI test. This is just 0.2 kmpl less compared to the 800 cc redi-Go.
If you want to distinguish between the redi-GO 1.0 to it 800cc sibling, I bet you are gonna find it difficult as it looks exactly the same except for the “1.0” badge. Inside the car you get a much nicer looking all black interior theme compared to the grey panels in the more affordable variants.
There are high possibilities that in future the redi-GO 1.0 AMT might launch but for now lets settle with the big motor with rivals with the Renault KwidSCe, Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 and the Eon 1.0L kappa. The pricing is Rs. 3.57 Lakh (ex-showroom Pan India)
