Bajaj now has three big brands under its kitty. The KTM, Husqvarna and Dominar which is a sub-brand with similar sporty credentials that it operates. There are similarities in the models when it comes to performance but also in other ways. Such as? Dominar is just like any other international market-ready product when it comes to quality and segmentation that is being produced along with Husqvarna and KTM. Warranty, something that is not discussed with Bajaj related products much and very little information is out in the market. Let us explain what is on offer as we spoke to Bajaj, KTM and Husqvarna officials they confirming the same.
The KTM usually gets 2 years, 30,000 km warranty. This is set to increase soon to 3 years, 50,000 kms very soon as default. Also, if you buy a KTM model before September 2020, you will get an offer where you can extend the warranty by 3 years and make it 5 years and 50,000 km. You already get 1-year Roadside assistance on KTM with this package and will continue to get so too. Bajaj Dominar warranty is quite simple to explain on the other hand. It continues to lead this pack of three motorcycles with a 5 year, 75,000 km warranty as standard with optional RSA.
Husqvarna currently has 2 years and 30,000 km warranty standard like KTM. However, if you buy before September 20, 2020. You get 5 years and 50,000 km warranty with free one year RSA nationwide. We also hear a warranty similar to Bajaj Dominar is on the cards for KTM and Husqvarna models in the far future which will sweeten the deal even more for the prospective customers of these two brands. KTM has already rolled out packages where you chance to win iPhones and Fan packages earlier this month that also ends on September 2020.
Special September offers aside, a lot of people were not aware of warranty schemes offered by Bajaj, KTM and Husqvarna. KTM has grown its presence to over 365 cities & 460 stores. Husqvarna is around the 280 dealership point of contact to customers, period. These are showrooms converted from exclusively KTM ones to being shared with Husqvarna and Chetak. The Swedish brand should also reach 460 stories in the next two years and probably reach 500 by 2024.
