Ducati MultiStrada 950 is squarely aim at the fresher audience and riders who want affordable and accessible Mutlistrada goodies
Ducati as we said earlier is all set to appeal to a wider audience. The INTERMOT show was about high-end bikes, EICMA is all about new small displacement motorcycles from the Italian brand. After showcasing the new air-cooled Monster along with other bikes, the Ducati Multistrada 950 is here to steal the show. It promises a lot on paper and should prbably deliver more on the same at the road. Let’s find out we have all the details.
Ducati MultiStrada 950 Design and Dimensions
Mutlistrada is typically the adventure bike the Italian company makes. The manufacturer has kept the same elements here as well. Same large beak at the front, with large headlights and sharp looking tail-lights at the rear. The motorcycle is tall and large but isn’t intimidating as other big adventure bikes from the stable as the idea is to make sure it approachable to a wider audience.
Ducati MultiStrada 950 Chassis, suspension and brakes
The front fork is a 48mm inverted unit. The unit is adjustable spring pre-load and hydraulic compression and rebound damping. At the rear, a Sachs shock connects the swingarm, whic is spring pre-load is adjustable that is knob-operated. Braking is delivered by Brembo M4.32 monobloc radial calipers with dual 320 mm discs up front. The 265mm disc and floating Brembo caliper at the rear does the job. ABS is equipped on both rotors.
The Bosch 9.1 MP ABS control unit will allow 3-levels of intervention. A special mode that is designed for off-road use. 19-INCH light alloy front wheel that will offer pure road tyres and more dual-purpose orientated rubber fitted. The tyre size is a 120/70/19 at the front while the rear is a 170/60/17 unit. The 950 will come with Pirelli Scorpion Trail II tyres as standard fitment.

Launch could happen in late 2017 in India. Prices will be around Rs. 10-11 Lakhs.
Ducati MultiStrada 950 Engine And Specification
The 937cc Testastretta delivers 113 BHP AT 9000 RPM and 122 NM OF torque at 7750 RPM. There are four riding modes on offer such as Touring, Sport, Urban and Enduro. the new Multistrada will also gets the Ducati Safety Pack, which includes the 8-level Ducati Traction Control. ABS and traction control work differently and can be personalized in every riding mode.
Ducati MultiStrada 950 Safety and Features
ABS and 8-way traction control is on offer. Features list includes speed, rpm, total distance ridden, selected gear, two trip meters, engine coolant temperature, fuel level and a clock. Riding information includes real-time fuel consumption, average fuel consumption, average speed, air temperature, travel time and road ice warning.
