Welcome the Cybertruck – an electric pickup truck from the house of Tesla. Unlike any other pick-up, the Tesla Cybertruck is sure to appeal to your taste buds. The styling is futuristic with sharp edges, creases, and sleek design elements making exteriors, kink in the roof in the middle of the profile is as dramatic as it goes, and making things even more dramatic are large alloys bolted under the zingy, protruding wheel arches.
And it’s not all about the zest. Tesla claims that the body of the Cybertruck is made from the 30X cold-rolled stainless steel which is able to provide it unmatched strength – it can even resist 9mm bullets besides being the dent-proof. The company demonstrated strength virtue by using a sledgehammer during the event. The air suspension of the truck is capable of raising and lowering the body which is sure to come handy during negotiating rough terrains. Similarly, to make the operations of loading/unloading easier, the rear body of the truck can be lowered down. Also, one gets the option of an extended ramp at the back.
The Tesla Cybertruck seating capacity of the pick-up is six and thanks to the minimalist design of the cabin, there is plenty of space around. The unconventional design elements like a U-shape steering wheel and a massive 17” centrally-placed touch screen are show stoppers here. You can choose from a list of three power trains – a single electric motor with a rear-wheel-drive system having a range of 400 kilometers, dual-motor setup offering an improved range of 480 kilometers while boasting all-wheel-drive system, and the range-topping tri-motor engagement which is capable of covering 800 km on a single charge even as it has an all-wheel-drive system.
In terms of acceleration, the top variant claims 2.9 seconds for 0-96 kmph while the lowest in the rung taking 6.5 seconds for the same. In terms of loading capacity, Cybertruck is capable of carrying 1.5-tonne in its truck bed while having a towing capacity of up to 6.4-tonne.
The production of Tesla Cybertruck will start from the H2 2021 though the top tri-motor variant will join the only in late 2022. The company has already started taking orders though for now, customers only getting the option to choose on the front of engine specification and self-driving technology of Tesla.
