Aprilia has silently launched the Aprilia SR and SXR range of scooters which consists of many variants. As said earlier in official release that the brand will launch iGet equipped engine in both 125cc and 160cc category. The technical specs as seen in the picture below suggests that are subtle changes to the specification as numbers stay similar to what they were earlier. We expected a bigger bump in the 160cc engine but it continues to be around the same ballpark.

he prices have surprisingly gone lower by a few thousand rupees as seen in the chart below for some variant meanwhile the other variant have seen small increases. These are the prices as seen on Aprilia’s official website. The 160 range has ABS on offer and 125cc get CBS as standard. 2020 BS6 changes to engine shot up the pricing earlier by a big margin and now the new OBD-2 inclusion has taken the price slightly higher. Aprilia seems to be passing its benefits to consumers.
Aprilia could have used this opportunity with the heavily updated engine to give more horsepower, but why fix something that isn’t broken. Aprilia continues to be the best scooter in its class with moderate sales number when compared to its rivals. Aprilia oncourse has bigger plans to introduce higher powered scooters all together. The SR GT series of scooters could come to India early next year as well. In terms of cosmetic changes, nothing really has changed.
The quintessential Aprilia styling is on offer with great headlight design that have LED DRL and LED lights in them. A digital meter that is on par with 250cc motorcycles on offer with fuel economy parameters, tachometer and more features are on offer as well.
