Maruti Suzuki plans an array of new suv’s to launch over the span of three years in the Indian car market. They have planned out five different cars for various segments. Each of them is codenamed as per the details and sketches that have been surfaced as of now. As per initial reports, most of the existing models will be reworked and others will be co-developed with Toyota. With this mega plan, Maruti plans to regain its lost market share that it held in India previously as recently the mass market has leaned towards SUV’s having a significant role in almost every segment and price range.
Some of the models that are supposed to be worked upon are:
Maruti Suzuki Jimny
This model is one of those vehicles which has been anticipated heavily to be launched ever since its global unveil. But for whatsoever reason it hasn’t been launched yet in our country. Thus, the wait finally seems to end as it is one of the vehicles that Maruti is planning to launch as part of its mega plan to recapture its hold in the Indian car market. Although like the global 3 door model, the Indian version will be a 5 door model with an approximate length of the vehicle being around 3.8m which brings it under the four-meter compact SUV category.
New 2022 Brezza
The images of the next generation Brezza already surfaced a few days ago and now it seems to be a part of Maruti’s new mega plan. From the images, it can be noticed how heavily Maruti engineers have reworked the Brezza while adopting a very fresh design perspective than the outgoing vehicle. The entire front end is reworked as well as the rear, with an all-new interior when launched will be miles ahead of the generation it replaces.
New Compact Suv
This model will be positioned above Brezza and will be competing against the premium section of the compact SUV’s like the higher-end variant of Kia Sonet and Hyundai Venue. With details suggesting it will be carrying the same engine as Brezza with more sophisticated hybridization and sportier looks.
New Creta/Seltos rivalling Suv
This will be another crucial car among its mega plan of new suv’s as this will be competing against two of the market leaders in this segment. Still rumored to be next-gen Vitara which was long pending will be taking shape in the near future.
New three row premium suv
This model could be the face of Maruti’s mega plan to regain its lost market share with it being the flagship of the brand. Aimed to rival against Alcazar it could be based on Ertiga’s platform.
