Ford is on a roll in India ever since they launched the EcoSport in the country. Before that, there were two cars which were important to the brand when it comes to volumes and sales. Ford Figo and Ford Classic and it was time that they were replaced with brand new units that would not have the draw backs of the older and something new to woo customers. Incomes second generation Ford Figo and the new Ford Figo Aspire. Both cars are already in news for the recalls, production issues and discounts on offer. Ford Figo Aspire Interiors and Features
The list has been revised as it now has been ripped of some cosmetic and other bits on the inside and outside. List can been below in pictures. Ford has added a new Titanium (O) variant to the Figo and Aspire variants. It now offers an option pack with the regular Titanium trim. This new option pack adds side & curtain airbags. This was earlier available on the range-topping Titanium+ trim. The optional pack costs Rs. 24,000, on both Figo and Aspire. Except for the four new airbags, no other feature addition has been made on the Titanium (O) models.
Apart from that, good quality interior can be seen all around the Figo, especially in the Aspire-Sedan version, which comes with beige option that looks premium with leather seats and futuristic dash that looks digital with all the knobs and buttons on offer and yet looks and operates simply.
Space in good on the inside, boot is marginally smaller than its rivals. Features wise, Aspire sedan isn’t the best anymore but it has Ford Connectivity System called My-Link, climate control, USB, AUX, Bluetooth and much more. My Ford Dock, My Ford Key. Ford Figo Aspire Engine, Gearbox and Mileage
This is where the new cars shine. Both cars have a plenty of engine and gearbox options by Hatchback standards. The petrol and diesel motor along with automatic and manual gearboxes in almost all variants. Diesel is the highlight as the new 1.5 diesel unit which replaces the old 1.4 unit now makes 100 BHP instead of the old which just made 70 BHP. Torque is also up by 30 Nm and now has 215 Nm of it. Petrol remains the same in terms of displacements. It now makes 88 BHP of power and 112 Nm of torque.
The petrol 1.5 l engine is also present with a dual clutch automatic gearbox that makes 112 BHP. Overall, satisfying all kind of hatchback buyers. Fuel effeminacy numbers are 1.2 Ti-VCT MT – 18.16 km/l for the 1.2 Petrol, 1.5 Ti-VCT Automatic delivers 17 km/l and 1.5 TDCi MT diesel delivers 25.83 km/l
2016 Ford Figo And Aspire Design and Dimensions
When it comes to the design, the car has seen dramatic changes inside out. The front gets the Aston Martin inspired grille. The overall stance of the vehicle is taller and headlights and tail lamps at front and rear have a flowing design idea to them and yet they look chunky. New alloy wheels, which are 14-inch on all variants continue from the previous vehicle with new design. Aspire registers under the sub four meters and Figo is around the 3.8 mark. Both share same other dimensions with slight changes.
