Fuel-Injected Renegade Commando and Sports S will offer more power and torque, we will confirm numbers once they are released
UM Lohia Two Wheelers today unveiled BS announced unveiled BS-IV compliant variants of their flagship motorcycles such as the Renegade Commando EFI and Renegade Sports S EFI .The motorcycles will now be powered with fuel injection engines that shall produce higher and consistent power as compared to earlier variants equipped with carburetors. The engine is specially designed to give better cold starts along with cleaner emissions and meet BSIV emission norms. UM has made significant improvements in these models which includes a accurate throttle response.
UM Lohia Two Wheelers Pvt. Ltd says both Renegade Commando EFI and Renegade Sports S EFI fully comply with the stringent pollution norms that are in the country. UM motorcycles will now come equipped with fuel injection engines that shall produce extra power for more power and torque. Company has not revealed any power numbers in the release and nor the website has been updated for the same. The motorcycles will most likely to continue with the same layout which includes 4-valve, liquid-cooling, and 279cc engine which has a bore stroke of 74×65. The engine comes mated to an 6-speed gearbox. For now we assume it will make around 26 PS of power and 22 Nm of torque with this new fuel-injection system.
Chassis wise it has the same 140x90x15 section tyre at the rear and 110x70x17 at the front. The front gets telescopic suspension and rear gets dual sided shocks. The fuel tank capacity stand at 18 litres and it has a large wheelbase of 1545 mm. The bike weighs in at 172 kgs with 90% fuel and oil in it. UM motorcycle is set to increase the price on these motorcycles and in 2017, the prices has increased by almost Rs. 10,000 on both models of the manufacturer.
