The vehicle has revolutionized the family mover segment with its sleek design and cutting-edge tech features, becoming a preferred mobility choice for new-age customers with extended families. Impressively, 50% of the consumers prefer the top and mid trims of this popular family mover, which has features like Sunroof, Multi Drive Modes, Ventilated Seats and Kia Connect to name a few. In the last year, Carens has aggressively made its way into the premium fleet car market offering terrific space, comfort and luxury to customers opting for it. The powertrain choice for most Carens has been the diesel-imt combo.
The popularity of the Kia Carens is reflected in the strong demand for its top trims, which account for 24% sales. Features such as sunroof, multi-drive modes, ventilated seats, Kia Connect and more have made these variants particularly appealing to customers. In terms of powertrain preferences, the petrol variant leads with 58% sales, followed by 42% diesel sales. With 32% of customers opting for Automatic and iMT, highlights the ease of driving and the convenience both transmission options offer. On the other hand, 28% of the buyers opted for the variants with sunroof and 95% of the total product sale came from the 7-seater models making it a true family car.
The success of the Kia Carens extends beyond the domestic market, with close to 24064 units exported, significantly contributing to Kia’s global operations. The vehicle has also accounted for over 15% of the company’s total domestic wholesale, solidifying its position as one of the best-selling family movers in its segment.
