Honda Activa H-Smart variant has been recently launched in the market and the talking point of this top trim is its keyless entry feature. Pitted against the likes of TVS Jupiter ZX SmartXonnect, we compare these two scooters on paper to find which one of these makes a better buying option for you:
Engine and Performance: There is not a substantial difference in the performance figures as both scooters offer nearly the same power and torque figures to prospective buyers. Honda has made the Activa H-Smart compliant with the upcoming OBD-2 emission norms and the scooter also offers a slightly bigger 5.3-litre fuel tank compared to the 5-litre capacity of TVS Jupiter.
Dimensions: In terms of dimensions, TVS has a 15mm advantage in the wheelbase department although it is 4 kg heavier than the Activa H-Smart. Front and rear suspensions are similar in both scooters; however, TVS offers disc brake in the front for achieving better controlling capacity. Jupiter offers 163mm of ground clearance while in the case of Activa H-Smart, it is 162mm.
Features: TVS has equipped Jupiter with many practical features which contribute to enhancing its riding experience significantly. Jupiter ZX SmartXonnect features a digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, navigation assist and voice assistance for calls and SMS alerts. Honda, on the other hand, offers keyless engine start-stop, find my vehicle, and answer back functions on H-Smart.
Price: TVS Jupiter ZX SmartXonnect costs Rs 85,673 while Honda Activa H-Smart can be had at Rs 80,537. TVS is the costlier option among the two though as it packs in extra features that can prove very useful in daily riding conditions.
