The enhanced interest of riding enthusiasts in the 500cc capacity bikes has caught the attention of Husqvarna. In order to cash in on, Husqvarna has decided to develop and manufacture its new crop of 500cc bikes right here in India. As India is counted among one of the most lucrative emerging countries that have huge business potential for the Husqvarna Twin-Cylinder 500cc Bikes, this move signifies the strategic thinking of the Husqvarna to augments its sales number significantly.
The upcoming Husqvarna Twin-Cylinder 500cc Bikes will cater to the premium end of the market. These bikes will be a perfect choice for those customers who want to upgrade from 200-400 cc to 500cc and above. New Bikes will derive power from parallel-twin engine architecture, something that is a trademark of high-capacity and output bikes. There is no official information about the performance figures but Husqvarna will share the engine with KTM 790 Duke. The launch year is not confirmed by the company yet but we guesstimate that the first bike in the 500cc lot will make its Indian market entry sometime in 2022.

Husqvarna Twin-Cylinder 500cc Bikes development clearly testifies the importance Husqvarna attaches to the Indian market and other emerging markets where these new bikes will be primarily sold. Until now, all Husqvarna bikes which are on sale in India follow only single-cylinder engine configuration and this will be the very first time that twin-cylinder architecture will be used by the Husqvarna.
Although the launch of the new set of Husqvarna Twin-Cylinder 500cc Bikes is still some time away, the excitement and enthusiasm have already started building up among riders. The premium segment buyers will find more options in the market thanks to this Husqvarna decision to foray into the segment. Now that the company is fully geared up to convert this enthusiasm into real sales, let’s see how customers will react when the actual launch takes place in 2022. They are very likely to be called Husqvarna 501/601.
