Hyundai Elite i20 Facelift spied again reveals the interior which has a new touchscreen unit
The South Korean car manufacturer Hyundai is set to update the Elite i20 with new safety features and few cosmetic changes. The car is likely to be launched early next year in India and will be introduced here before the rest of world, at the Indian Auto Expo. The model was heavily camouflaged and is been spotted again. The refreshed 2018 Hyundai Elite i20 carries a sport front grille which makes its face resemble from its other family members. Ever since the launch of the current running model which was launched in India in 2014 the car has done very well for the car maker as far as the sales numbers are a concerned.
On the exterior front, the all new upcoming Elite i20 has dumped the two-part grille design which now is replaced by a large cascade grille similar to the one seen on the latest Xcent sedan. The model is likely to share cosmetic changes from the all new Verna, which is expected to be launched around August this year. Talking about the changes the new i20 facelift gets new fog lamps and more angular headlamps with new alloy wheels and a whole new rear design.
Coming to the numbers, the updated model is expected to get the same set of engines as its predecessor-a 1.2-litre petrol (manual transmission), 1.4-litre diesel and 1.4-litre petrol (automatic transmission). Adding to it the Korean brand is also said to introduce the new 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine which is expected to produce 120 bhp and 172 Nm of peak torque. Higher variants of the 2018 Hyundai Elite i20 will be offered with 16-inch alloy wheels and the interiors is likely to receive new upholstery as well as dual front airbags as standard to the buyers.
