Jaguar XE Prestige Variant is slap bang in between the Pure and Porfolio trim as it is set to offer more bang for buck and makes it more approachable
Jaguar in India is all set to keep the ball rolling likes its competition. Launching products one after the other to make sure the products stay fresh and they continue to stay in lime light as well. Jaguar XE was launched couple of months back with two variant on offer. The base variant and the Portfolio top-spec trim. The small saloon of the lot has been highly praised for its abilities when it comes to offering performance and luxury. To make things better, this new middle spec variant should make things more approachable for the slightly budget conscious buyer and entry-level saloon options just became better.
Them main highlights are how team Jaguar India has nailed the features/options list with this variants. So when it comes to features it gets a sliding sunroof, memory function for the driver seat, Taurus leather, a rear-view camera, interior mood lighting option and a 380 WATT surround sound system from Meridian.
The engine continues to be the same petrol motor that churns out 200 PS of max power at 5500 RPM and 320 Nm of peak torque at 1750 RPM. Engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. All of this helps the Jaguar Xe thrust to 0 to 100 kmph in 7.7 second and has a top speed of 237 kmph.
Just to give you an idea of the variants which were launched at the beginning. The base trim is set to be priced at Rs 39.9 lakh, while the top-spec Jaguar XE Portfolio with a more powerful 237 PS petrol motor is priced at Rs 47.99 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom Delhi. Jaguar has already started making its position in the entry-level saloon and will continue to do so as it fights the toughest rivals like the almost unbeatable Mercedes-Benz C-Class BMW 3-Series and upcoming Audi A4 and Volvo S40.
