Jeep Compass India brochure leaked ahead of its launch August, will take on the likes of its rivals such as Tuscon and Mahindra XUV 500

Dealerships of Jeep in India have already started taking bookings of the SUV. Ahead of its launch, brochure images of the India-spec Compass have been leaked affirming the features and other details of the all new made in India SUV. As seen in the brochure the Jeep Compass will be launched in 5 different variants the Sport, Longitude, Longitude (O), limited and Limited (O). The SUV will be available in 5 colour options Vocal White, Brilliant Black, Minimal Grey, Hydro Blue and Exotica Red.

The Longitude and the Longitude (O) will only have the diesel engines while all the other models will get both petrol and diesel engine options.
The sport variant will be the entry level model of the SUV. The variant comes with basic accessories like the 16-inch steel wheels, halogen headlamps, 5-inch infotainment system and electrically adjustable ORVMs. The sport version includes safety features like front airbags, ESC, ABS with EBD and an electric parking brake.

Talking about the Longitude variant, the Compass comes with 17-inch 5 spoke alloy wheels, front and rear fog headlamps, push button start, parking sensors, and dual tone interiors. While the Longitude (O) variant gets Android Auto Play and Apple CarPlay climate control and a bigger 7-inch infotainment system.
The limited trim will get you LED tail-lamps, a rear camera, leather seats and steering wheel, scuff plates and an AWD transmission with Select Terrain System. The Limited (O) adds HID headlamps and dual tone paint schemes with Gloss black roof.

The SUV will feature a 1.-4 litre turbocharged petrol engine which will deliver will 160 PS of power and 250 Nm of peak torque. The diesel variant features a 2.0 litre turbocharged diesel engine which delivers 170 PS of power and 350 Nm of peak torque. Both the engines are BSIV complaint and can be upgraded to BSVI as well if required. The transmission duties are carried by and 6-speed manual and a 7-speed automatic gearbox. The SUV will compete against the likes of Hyundai Tucson and the VW Tiguan.
