The Kia Carnival went on sale in India in February last year as the brand’s flagship offering. The model is rich in features, comfort, luxury and priced decently too. In fact, Kia India is so confident about the Carnival that the company has announced the new ‘Satisfaction Guarantee Scheme’ for the MPV that will let buyers return the vehicle within 30 days of purchase if they are not pleased. The automaker will also return 95 percent of the purchase price to the customer. The bold scheme is a first-of-its-kind initiative in the industry but does come with its terms and conditions.
For starters, the offer is available only for the Kia Carnival’s private buyers and the vehicle needs to be registered in the name of an individual. The eligibility criteria require the odometer to register less than 1500km during the 30 day period after purchase. The vehicle also needs to be free of damages, failures, pending claims, and any financial dues. So if you have a car loan, it will need to be free of hypothecation and the financer needs to submit a NOC for the vehicle. The automaker will cover 95 per cent of the ex-showroom cost and overhead costs incurred for the registration and finances.
Kia India has sold over 6200 units of the Carnival since its launch with over 60 percent of the bookings for the top-spec Limousine variant. The cabin on this seven-seater version takes inspiration from the first-class in-flight cabins and offers two captain seats in the second row that are extremely comfortable. The model offers a good drive with its plush suspension and a powerful 2.2-litre diesel engine with an automatic gearbox. The Kia Carnival range is priced between Rs. 24.95 lakh and Rs. 33.95 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
