Speculations of KTM 250 ADV launch have been in the air and now for the first time and now, it had reached dealerships in the last two weeks and now it has been officially launched. Similar to 390 Adventure, the halogen headlamp is a key giveaway. Just so you know, the KTM 390 Adventure is powered by a full LED headlamp.
The KTM 250 Adventure features a powerful, 248 cc state-of-the-art DOHC four-valve single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, which provides smooth and confidence-inspiring delivery through the powerband that is also sprightly and fun when pushed more. Electronic Fuel Injection helps elevate the performance numbers to 30 hp (22 kW) power and 24 Nm torque. The technologically advanced Power Assist Slipper Clutch (PASC) assists with movement through the 6-speed gearbox and allows for smooth & jerk free clutch-less down shifting. In essence, the model adopts the craftsmanship, engineering and the Dakar Rally heritage that permeates the whole KTM Adventure line-up.
Built for Adventure:
Featuring high-end componentry, the KTM 250 Adventure uses a set of WP APEX suspension. The rear shock absorber has a 177 mm travel range with adjustable preload, while the WP APEX upside-down 43 mm front fork boasts 170 mm of travel. Matched with the heavy-duty cast wheels [19’’/17’’] and the travel-specific tubeless tires, they provide outstanding damping in all conditions.
The BYBRE brakes made by Brembo feature a large 320 mm front brake disc with a 4-piston radially mounted calliper, together with a 230 mm rear disc. The ABS system by Bosch has an additional off-road mode that is engageable via a button on the dashboard, allowing you to steer the rear end into the corners with ease. The 14.5-litre tank supported by the fuel-efficient BS6 emission engines ensure that you are ready to take on adventures across multiple terrains and over long distances.
A wide array of KTM PowerParts has been specifically designed to further enhance the aesthetics and performance of the KTM 250 Adv. The list of KTM PowerParts for the KTM 250 Adventure includes GPS brackets, radiator protection grill, crash bungs, headlamp protection and handlebar pads. The price of KTM 250 Adventure does definitely help it grab more attention against its rivals such as the Hero Xpulse 200, the Royal Enfield Himalayan and the BMW G 310 GS. Reason? Better hardware, proven platform, touring nature and far fetched sales and service network.
