We all knew the KTM Duke 790 was a bit expensive when it was launched at 8 lakhs ex-showroom Pan India. The motorcycle sold certain amount quickly but there is still stock left. People who enquired about the Duke 790 recently to dealers that they are now offering not one, but Rs. two lakh rupees off the original on-road price. This means that the KTM Duke 790 On-Road Price is now 8 lakh-ish, depending on the dealer.
This is exactly the price, that we were looking forward to personally and now that its done its tempting for everyone. KTM Duke 790 has everything you would ever need in terms of electronics, safety, performance and dynamics. However, it lacks a bit of the premium quotient and looks a bit vanilla for a motorcycle of this size and price. Now that the prices have dropped by such a big margin, it is time to get the BS4 version quickly.
Yes, this is for the BS4 version. KTM wants to clear the stock to make sure it makes way for the BS6 version that will come by late April-May 2020. We recommend getting the BS4 version quickly. Now that it is cheaper but it is going to more fun to ride than the BS6 version, because new emission norms will dial down the fun factor even more on the 790, something which is already so linear and easy to live with.
There could weight increase as well given the fact that BS6 emission norms in almost every motorcycle is being met through bigger catalytic converters and other exhaust gas re-circulation methods. What are you waiting for!?! Use your Duke 390 to rob a bank and buy yourself a Duke 790. now!
