Mahindra is all set to roll out its range of electric SUVs with the XUV.e8 launch expected to happen in December 2024. Adding to the excitement lately is the teaser image of the upcoming BE.05 Coupe that has been snapped testing under heavy camouflage. The electric SUV features interesting design details such as C-shaped DRLs, a sloping roof line, and an integrated spoiler. The model also featured alloy wheels, body cladding, rear LED light bar, and C-shaped tail lamps, all coming together to equip it with striking design. Bumpers on both ends are quite radical and do well to round off the racy design of the coupe.
In terms of equipment, BE.05 will come with dual-tone interiors, a fully digital instrument cluster, and a free-standing touchscreen infotainment system. Prospective buyers are also likely to get electrically adjustable front seats and fabric door handles for a premium touch and higher snob value. The stylish coupe will offer the latest version of the driver assistance system along with panoramic sunroof, over-the-air updates, and heads-up display features among others.
The specification of the battery back is still under wraps as Mahindra hasn’t revealed any information in this regard. However, the electric SUV is likely to get a 60kWh battery which will be paired with two electric motors for powering the drive. The battery pack supports fast charging (175kW) which means users can charge 80% of the battery in just half an hour. Mahindra is likely to divulge more details about the exact specifications going forward in the coming months. As far as the launch of BE.05 in India is concerned, we might get this electric SUV coupe to our shores in 2025. The price is expected to be in the bracket of Rs 12-16 lakh which is quite a value for money if the coupe offers good range and powerful performance to buyers.
