Maruti Ertiga Tour M Launched in India to cater the fleet market who are always in a need of a MPV like this
Maruti Suzuki India Limited has very silent launched Ertiga Tour M in India at a price of Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom). As the name suggests, this new variant is aimed at the commercial market and specifically made to cater to the needs of taxi/cab operators. Just so you know, Maruti Ertiga Tour M is based on VXi trim of the recently launched second-generation Ertiga.
Despite its commercial market positioning, Ertiga Tour M is well-equipped in terms of equipment. On the outside, the MPV has received chrome front grille, halogen projector headlamps, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, LED tail lamps, and wheels with full cap.
Inside the cabin, the list of featured includes dual-tone interiors, music system with the Bluetooth, second-row seats with 60:40 split, slide and recline convenience, third-row reclining seat with 50:50 split, rear seat air conditioning vents, and multi-information display with colored TFT screen.
Maruti Ertiga Tour M has been equipped handsomely on the safety front too. It has got Dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and BA, a speed sensitive auto door lock, speed limiter function (80kmph), seat belt reminders for driver and co-driver, and rear parking sensors.
Powering the Ertiga Tour M is a 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder engine that is capable of putting out 103 bhp@ 6,000 rpm and 138Nm @4,400 rpm. The engine is coupled with a 5-speed manual transmission which channelizes the force to the front wheels of the car.
Unlike the standard Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, this Tour M variant hasn’t received mild-hybrid technology. This has been done to keep the cost in check but on the flip side, it has negatively impacted thr\e fuel efficiency of MPV. While standard Ertiga comes with a claimed mileage of 19.34 kmpl, Tour M variant returns 18.18 kmpl; translating into a difference of 1.16 kmpl between two models.
