Maserati Launches 2019 Quattroporte Diesel in India with revised interior and exterior to a certain extent to make it look fresher
The MY2019 Quattroporte gracefully embraces the virtues of elegance and athletic attitude like its predecessors. New colours, wheel designs and interior veneers, redesigned gearshift lever and Pieno Fiore natural leather interiors – it provides an ultimate refinement to the Maserati flagship sedan.
The 2019 model is offered in GranLusso and GranSport trims, representing the perfect blend of luxury and performance. The dominant, powerful nose is sculpted around the Alfieri-shaped three-dimensional grille, which is pointed and imposing, featuring vertical chrome rib elements that contrast with the depth of the ‘sharknose’ effect.
The Quattroporte is fitted with high performance 3.0-litre V6 turbodiesel engine which comes with AdBlue technology and sets the benchmark in performance, efficiency and driving satisfaction. The Active Sound technology of the Quattroporte Diesel exhaust system produces a characteristic Maserati sound that underlines the car’s performance-ready nature, and which can be varied at the touch of a button.
The MY19 Quattroporte has adopted the redesigned gearshift lever, featuring a more intuitive shift pattern, shorter travel and improved operation. The driver now has the option to use the eight-speed ZF gearbox in automatic or manual mode simply by shifting the lever from right to left, while a new ‘P’ button effortlessly sets the transmission in parking mode. The MTC+ infotainment system has been enhanced with updated display graphics and improved climate control system ergonomics.
In their sumptuous interiors, Maserati introduces for the first time, the full-grain Pieno Fiore leather, which is incomparable to any other material in the automotive industry for its natural, soft feel and the unique character it attains throughout the years. Pieno Fiore is available as an option in Quattroporte in three colours with specific stitching on the seats and double stitching on the door panels. Maserati also offers two brand new high-gloss interior veneers for the Quattroporte.
Further, exterior colour ranges have also been refreshed with a choice of ten colours for the MY19 Quattroporte models. Two new tri-coat colours are now available, born to enhance the design of each, the iconic Rosso Potente and the deep dark Blu Nobile. In the wide collection of alloy wheels designed specifically for Quattroporte, there are two brand new designs in the MY19 catalogue in 20 and 21-inch sizes.
The Harman Kardon Premium Sound system is fitted as standard, offering elevated levels of audio refinement, with every component uniquely tailored to perfectly match the Quattroporte interior. Bowers & Wilkins Surround Sound systems is an alternative optional audio package available. 15 speakers, mid-range drivers and rear-woofers made from aramid fibre, is strategically built into the car’s architecture, while a 1,280-watt amplifier ensures immersive sound for all on board.
The first edition of 2019 Quattroporte will be owned by a privileged Delhiite. After the first 2018 Quattroporte GTS and first 2018 Maserati Ghibli that arrived in Delhi, it is now time for the elegant Bianco Alpi GranSport trim with Pieno Fiore leather interiors – the celebrated 2019 version of Maserati’s best-selling sedan Quattroporte – to make its way into the city. And, once again, affluent Delhiites seem to be making a beeline to own these sultry Italian beauties.
In India, the 2019 Quattroporte’s GranLusso version is available at a starting price of INR 1.74 Cr and the Gransport version at INR 1.79 Cr (Ex-showroom Delhi).
