Mercedes E-Class Coupe is the budget luxury car that the world needs as it sits between the C-Class and S-Class Coupe
E-Class is an executive range of cars that includes sedan, wagon, coupe and convertibles manufactured by Mercedes-Benz since 1993, lasting four generation marketing world-wide. The current fourth generation Coupe is being marketed since 2009. The latest news is that the all-new E-Class Coupe images were leaked recently by a Belgian website. However, it is now revealed to the audience.
The new E-Class Coupe has been replaced from sharp, V-shaped corners to smooth curved cornered grills at the front carrying the three-pointed star logo, slimmer head lights, horizontally stretched tail lights at the rear, the number plate position from the centre has been shifted to bottom at the rear, there is no chrome lining at the rear.
The flared wheel arches at the top of the rear wheels have been slimmed. On the whole the rear end looks more like an AMG GT with a stretched boot, its that good! The interiors look similar to the other new models of Mercedes-Benz, the only change that we could spot is the centre touch screen InfoTech system has been stretched horizontally and the instrument cluster, touch screen InfoTech are aligned in a straight line.
With a length of 4826 mm, a width of 1860 mm and a height of 1430 mm, the new E-Class Coupé outstrips its predecessor in terms of length width in height. The longer wheelbase helps Mercedes claims that the new E-Class Coupe offers a lot more space for all passengers.
Mercedes is likely to be using the same engine found in E-Class Sedan. The new E-Class Coupe base model likely be getting E200 Coupe 2.0 litre four-cylinder producing 184hp, E300 Coupe producing 245hp will be provided for the mid-range. The diesel engine will be the new 2.0 litre E220 d producing 195hp. The top of the range will be the E400 4 Matic Coupe, 3.0 litre V6 powered by twin turbo chargers producing 333hp. On the whole the new E-class looks classy and powerful, hopefully it is coming to India.
