Mercedes-Benz steadily presses ahead with its BEV strategy in India with upcoming new models and variants. Following the success of the ‘Made in India’ EQS SUV 580, Mercedes-Benz will introduce a new variant of the EQS SUV- the EQS SUV 450.EQS SUV 450 will have a 5-seater configuration with slightly higher range and a battery capacity of 122 kWh, which is equivalent to that of the EQS SUV 580, remaining the largest for any passenger BEV in India.
Mercedes EQS SUV 450 India version will be offered in ‘Electric Art’ exterior styling with 21-inch, light-alloy wheels painted in black with a high-sheen finish.The interior includes standard luxury seats with lavishly crafted covers. EQS SUV 450 will be feature-rich like the EQS SUV 580, having special enhancements like ‘Energizing Air Control Plus’ and ‘Spare wheel’, which are exclusive to the 5-seat configuration.While the 7-seater EQS 580 4MATIC continues to appeal to the larger families, the new 5-seater variant will appeal to families wanting a two-row variant, having a slightly longer range. With these additions, Mercedes-Benz firmly strengthens its BEV portfolio, with a BEV now available for every customer requirement and every segment. The EQS SUV 450 will make its India debut along with the much-anticipated G 580 with EQ Technology, on 9-January in India.
