MICHELIN X® Guard™ Radial Truck Tyre launched in India is exclusively designed, engineered and made for India product. The product is targeted at the price-sensitive general goods carriers. This tyre can also help medium and long haul transporters too. Michelin X Guard is claimed to be a longer-lasting, more fuel-efficient, lighter and more robust tyre than before. MICHELIN X® Guard™ Radial Truck Tyre marks Michelin’s entry into the mass market segment of commercial vehicle tyres in India.
The Indian market is rapidly evolving and to win in this exciting market place, it was important that Michelin X Guard, built exclusively for the Indian market, makes its way. Michelin is initially deploying limited quantities of this new product in eight states over the coming year, before expanding it to the entire country.
MICHELIN X® Guard™ Radial Truck Tyre comes with claimed improved performance, fuel efficiency and safety. Latest material and 3D printing technologies have enabled Michelin to produce a tyre that is 18%* lighter. Despite that, it delivers on robustness and returns better performance on tyre mileage.
The two Michelin patented technologies such as Infinicoil Technology has been adapted in the Indian context to fortify the tyre from inside, helping it become a robust but much lighter tyre. Then there is Regenion Technology, which enables the tyre to self-regenerate its tread, meaning new grooves appear as it wears out. This technology helps X Guard to deliver enhanced grip over the life of the tyre and boost tyre mileage significantly. The MICHELIN X® Guard™ radial truck tyre is available through the authorized Michelin dealer network for now. States like Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Haryana, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh Telangana and West Bengal are part of the list.
