In an interesting development, Moto Morini has started to work to develop a new adventure bike that will come powered by an engine displacing 1187 cubic capacity. In fact, the engine is the same that did its duty in older bikes of the company and featured there in V-Twin configuration before Moto Morini was bought by Zhongneng group in 2018.
The engine is quite old and made its debut way back in 2004 and was even discontinued after it failed to meet the stringent Euro-5 emission norms. However, it seems that the company has upgraded it thoroughly, and now, it’s all set to be used in its upcoming offerings including this upcoming adventure bike.

In terms of style and design, the upcoming ADV bike reminisces the company’s X-Cape 650 middleweight ADV that has recently launched in the Indian market. The quality of the hardware in terms of the suspension system and braking capabilities is top-notch and behaves the bike belongs to the top category on the price spectrum. Some of the prominent features that will be available on the bike include the USD front fork suspension system, rear mono-shock absorbers, switchable ABS, and a large screen TFT unit for displaying information on critical parameters. It is also expected that aligned with the premium standards, Moto Morini will offer a range of apps and sensors to make the riding experience more engaging and fun on its upcoming ADV bike.

Although not officially confirmed, the new ADV from the house of Moto Morini is expected to make it to our Indian shores. Owing to its ultra-premium nature, this flagship product is likely to feature a hefty price point. Upon arrival, it will be pitted against the likes of Triumph Tiger 1200, BMW R 1250 GS, Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250, and Triumph Tiger 1200 among others.
