Italian two-wheeler maker Benelli is owned by the Chinese auto giant the Qianjiang Group and the bike maker has a tonne of new offerings lined up. While the company is retailing its premium motorcycles under the QJ brand in China, the bikes outside will wear the Benelli badge as next generation or all-new models. The latest to join this list will be the QJ SRB 800, or what could be the upcoming 2021 Benelli TRK 800.
The new spy images from China reveal the new QJ SRB 800 aka 2021 Benelli TRK 800 that packs a half-fairing that’s reminiscent of the Ducati Multistrada, while the twin headlamp has an angular look. There’s a small windscreen on top. The overall look is decidedly different from the smaller TRK 502 range. The other noticeable cycle parts include long-travel suspension, 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoked wheels with semi-studded tyres and paramotor bars. The bike comes with double disc brakes at the front and a single disc at the rear.
The adventure tourer sports a large fuel tank, a tall beak-like front mudguard, LED headlights and a TFT instrument console. There’s also split seats, an engine guard and lots of mounting points for the luggage, not to forget an extended tail tidy.
Power on the QJ SRB 800 aka 2021 Benelli TRK 800 comes from the 754 cc in-line four-cylinder, four-stroke, liquid-cooled DOHC motor from the Benelli 752S. The engine develops 81.6PS, which is marginally more than the 77PS at 8500RPM and 67Nm of peak torque at 6500RPM on the 752S.
It will he safe to say that the SRB 800 aka 2021 Benelli TRK 800 will make its debut as a Benelli TRK 800 sometime later this year. The model is likely to debut alongside the QJ SRK600 street-fighter and the QJ 600 RR supersport that were recently unveiled. More details on the Benelli TRK 800 and the SRB 800 will be available later this year. Will this model make its way to the Indian market? We sure hope so!
