Bajaj Auto launched the highly anticipated Pulsar NS400Z today. The ‘Pulsar’ brand, which created the segment of sports motorcycling in India, has been a leader since 2001, offering the enthusiast a differentiated sporty design and top performance. The Pulsar NS series has gone from strength to strength, with the entire NS range (the NS125, NS160, and NS200) getting an exciting reboot in March 2023, upgraded with a new LED headlamp, digital instrument console, and Bluetooth connectivity. With the launch of the Pulsar NS400Z, Bajaj Auto has added the flagship model to the Pulsar line-up. As expected, the pricing is the same as it was back in the 2013 for the original Duke 390. This clearly creates a big momentum in the market for affordable sport bike enthusiast like never before.
The Pulsar NS400Z has the dynamism and muscularity of the NS style with modern floating panels. A signature lightning bolt DRL leads the aggressive new front fascia. Premium touches include Champagne Gold USD forks and carbon fiber graphics. The sleek ‘NS400’ callout on the bikini fairing and sporty tail section with underbelly exhaust complete a visually stunning, aerodynamic package.
The all-new Pulsar NS400Z isn’t just about heritage; it’s a performance pioneer. As the biggest Pulsar ever, the NS400Z packs a serious punch with its 373.27cc engine, cranking out 40 PS and 35 Nm of torque. The engine is not a triple spark anymore. The single spark modification has been done to make sure it suits modern day requirements. The Dominar 400 has the same triple spark tech or no post BS6 phase 2 is not known yet.
The NS400Z boasts ride-by-wire technology for precise throttle response and smoother handling. Ride modes and a slipper clutch for effortless gear changes allow for smoother acceleration and deceleration, improving overall control and elevating rider confidence. The Pulsar NS400Z augments rider capability with its advanced ride modes. The NS400Z adapts to any ride with dedicated modes: Road (smooth acceleration, stable ABS for daily use), Rain (limited power,conservative ABS for wet roads), Sport (heightened throttle, maximum stopping power for spirited riding), and Off-road (optimized low-end torque, controlled braking for rough terrain).
