Nissan Sunny Sedan HUGE Price Cut makes it clearly a news you cannot miss! The Sunny Sedan range now starts Rs. 1.0 lakh cheaper than before than the base price it began with way back earlier. The base petrol variant know as the XE is now priced at Rs. 6.99 lakh. The diesel top-end on the other hand is priced at Rs. 8.99 lakh. The petrol CVT automatic transmission now comes in top-end XV trim only as the mid XL CVT has been discontinued. The top-end CVT trim will now come at a price of Rs. 8.99 lakh. Nissan has managed to shave of almost Rs. 2 lakh less than before what it was.
Nissan says the reason for this very big price cut is that they were able to pass the benefits of lower costs due to local production to consumers after all this years of production as well. Nissan Sunny sedan now surprisingly comes close to smaller compact sedans which are sub four meter category cars which are the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Hyundai Xcent and Ford Figo Aspire, Volkswagen Vento and Honda Amaze.
The Sunny Sedan now in total is available in 3 petrol variants such as the XE, XL and XV. The XV, the top-end variant, is only available with a CVT automatic transmission. The diesel however gets an additional XV safety variant that gets side airbags as a part of the package. Earlier this year itself, almost a couple of months ago, Nissan updated the Sunny with new all-black interiors and a new exterior paint shade of brown to its personal car buyers.
Back then too, there were no mechanical changes on the car and till today, it continues with the same 1.5-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre K9K diesel engine on offer. The car is mostly seen in the fleet market but there are personal buyers for the Sunny as the ‘caaaarrrr’ continues to be famous for its best in class legroom and frugal engines on offer.
