Following on from the SUV ENYAQ iV, ŠKODA is now offering another electric vehicle based on the all-electric MEB platform. The new ENYAQ COUPÉ iV is a sleeker and more dynamic alternative to the original version and will be made alongside it on the production line in the Mladá Boleslav factory. In this respect, both versions of the ENYAQ SUV are unique, as they are currently the only models based on the MEB platform being produced outside Germany.
Since the technology and basic design language are based on the ENYAQ iV, the primary innovation with the ŠKODA ENYAQ COUPÉ iV is its body shape. The coupé-style roofline sloping down from the B-pillar gives the new car an even more emotive look. This style is accented by the sporty front bumper and the new design of the side sills painted in the body colour, which further emphasises the car’s length.
The car’s rear, with its sharply articulated edge and ŠKODA lettering below it on the boot lid, is completely new, of course. One special feature of all versions of the ENYAQ COUPÉ iV is the panoramic glass roof, which extends all the way from the windscreen to the rear window and has a strong black tint. The dynamic design and emotive looks are enhanced by wheels with 19 to 21-inch rims and the Full LED headlamps at the front and rear, which come as standard.
The ENYAQ COUPÉ iV will also be the first all-electric ŠKODA coupé available in a sporty RS version. The ENYAQ COUPÉ RS iV is the pinnacle of ŠKODA’s range. The RS delivers a system output of 220 kW and 460 Nm of torque, and has the performance to match: acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 6.5 seconds and the top speed is 180 km/h, twenty kilometres per hour faster than the other model versions. The chassis of both the RS and SPORTLINE versions is 15 millimetres lower at the front and 10 millimetres lower at the rear.
The ENYAQ COUPÉ RS iV comes with the unique 131 LED-illuminated Crystal Face radiator grille as standard, whereas on the other versions it is an option. In addition, the RS version boasts black contrasting elements such as the window trims or rear diffuser, while the SPORTLINE version also has a radiator grille in “piano finish”. The bezels on the standard versions have a chrome finish. Like all other ŠKODA RS models, the ENYAQ COUPÉ RS iV has a red reflective strip in the rear bumper stretching across the entire width of the car. Incidentally, the rear bumper on the RS version has been endowed with a sportier look on the ENYAQ COUPÉ iV.
As standard, the ENYAQ COUPÉ RS iV comes with black 20-inch Taurus wheels, with the option of anthracite 21-inch Vision wheels. These wheels have a special aerodynamic covering. The SPORTLINE version can have either anthracite 20-inch Vega wheels or optional 21-inch black Betria wheels. Customers will also be able to purchase the ENYAQ COUPÉ RS iV in the exclusive Mamba green colour, while ŠKODA is also adding new colours to the catalogue for the standard version, such as the Graphite grey metallic that replaces Quartz.
The sporty versions are also equipped with Full LED Matrix headlights. Inside the RS version, for example, three-zone air conditioning is a standard feature (two-zone is standard on the others), and the car comes with progressive steering. Customers can then choose from two interior designs in the RS version.
In both cases, they get carbon décor on the dashboard and door panel trim, aluminium pedal covers and sports seats with integrated head rests and the RS logo. In the RS Lounge Design Selection trim, the seats are upholstered in Suedia with lime green contrast stitching and piping. The same colour accent can be found on the steering wheel or the floor mats and on the dashboard, which is also upholstered in Suedia. Optionally, customers can go for the RS Suite Design Selection with upholstery in perforated black leather with grey contrast stitching, with this colour combination reappearing on other elements in the interior. The SPORTLINE variant also has a distinctive interior design dominated by black Suedia material.
In the other versions, customers can choose from interior design lines already familiar from the ENYAQ iV. Here, the Loft Design Selection, with a harmonious combination of black and grey, is standard. The optional Lodge line offers sustainable materials such as seat covers using 40% natural wool and 60% recycled polyester bearing the Woolmark Company seal. The Lounge Design Selection features a combination of leather and Suedia material. The Suite version offers elegant cognac leather, while the ecoSuite variant offers a luxurious feel and sustainability: its seats are upholstered in leather tanned using chemical-free olive tree extracts.
In all versions of the ŠKODA ENYAQ COUPÉ iV, the cars’ occupants can look forward to a range of Simply Clever features and plenty of space for all the passengers and their luggage. The ENYAQ COUPÉ iV has a cargo capacity of 570 litres in the standard configuration. The state-of-the-art assistance and safety systems and features and other conveniences more or less match that of the ENYAQ iV SUV already on the market. Customers can therefore also enjoy such advanced features as a head-up display with augmented reality, up to nine airbags, connectivity services with planned improvements via software updates, or top-of-the-range parking assist.
With the ŠKODA ENYAQ COUPÉ iV, customers can choose from two battery sizes and four power levels. In addition to the aforementioned RS version with its 82 kWh battery (77 kWh usable capacity, all-wheel drive as standard and 220 kW of power, the ENYAQ COUPÉ iV 80x is also available with this battery and all-wheel drive configuration. This variant has an output of 195 kW and 425 Nm of torque. In addition, the ENYAQ COUPÉ iV 80 is available with rear-wheel drive and a power output of 150 kW. This variant offers a maximum range of up to 545 kilometres (WLTP) thanks to its combination of more economical single-axle drive and large battery. In most markets, the basic variant is the ENYAQ COUPÉ iV 60 with a 62 kWh battery (58 kWh usable), 132 kW electric motor and rear-wheel drive.
The maximum charging performance for the ŠKODA ENYAQ COUPÉ iV is 135 kW. As a result, the 82 kWh battery can be charged from 10% to 80% capacity in just 29 minutes during fast charging. At home, the ŠKODA iV Charger wallbox, which delivers up to 11 kW of AC power, can fully charge the car in six to eight hours, depending on the size of the battery. Similar times can be expected using conventional public chargers. The ENYAQ COUPÉ iV is equipped with a Mennekes charging cable as standard, and a charger compatible with all common charging sockets is available on request for charging from a 230 V domestic socket with a power output of 2.3 kW. ŠKODA also supplies a universal iV charger with interchangeable connectors. In combination with the CEE adapter, this enables charging on more powerful sockets up to 11 kW.
Owners of the new car can also have one of three ŠKODA wallboxes installed at home or make use of the Powerpass service for easy charging at more than 260,000 locations across Europe, including Ionity fast chargers. Customers conveniently pay for the electricity they use via Powerpass at a discounted price in monthly bills.
