The car was always great and underrated but it did not catch up because of the styling and stance was too small for an SUV in India. Yeti did fairly well in the international markets but not a full blown success. Reason was the competitive SUV’s were just right in highlighting pride through stance. Karoq is here with a new name, platform, stance and completely new SUV. 2020 Skoda Karoq India version looks very much like the a mini Kodiaq. That is something to go by as the Kodiaq already internationally is a success for the brand as how the car looks and feels. Proper SUV stance, long and wide enough is its highlight. Yeti small stance is ditched which should automatically help it gain sales. The C motive tail-lamps, thoughtful touches around the window area and a strong shoulder line defines the car. Typical Skoda butterfly grille and very modern layout of the headlamps will grab attention. Overall, Skoda has a proper looker here with quirks and classic elements combined together.
Skoda Karoq Interior and Features
This compact SUV measures 4382 mm in length, is 1841 mm in width and 1605 mm in height. There is 521 litres of boot space with both rows up. Compared to the Yeti, there’s 69mm more legroom claimed by Skoda. Expect high quality interiors as always with Skoda. We expect it to go ahead of Yeti and in line with the new Kodiaq. New steering wheel, soft touch plastics all around, a touch screen, connectivity options, electric ORVM and much more will be part of the list. Apple Car Play and Android Auto will also come with the SUV. Space will be again the highlight in the rear and boot space should be ample as well. Skoda is offering a new ‘digital dashboard’ with the SUV.

Launch is set for 2020 and expect pricing to start around Rs. 12.0 Lakhs for it.
Skoda Karoq Engine And Specification
The SUV will come with the 2.0 litre diesel engine in the very distant future. There will be a 1.5 TSi petrol option on offer to begin with. 6-speed manual and 7-speed dsg are coming. Engine will produce 150 PS of power and 300 Nm of torque. 4×4 option will make it to the Karoq. Disc brakes all around, large 16-17-inch tyres will part of the package.

Expect 6 airbags on offer on top trim and dual airbags as standard on all trims. ABS, EBD traction control, HHC and other passive electronic features to make it to the list.
