Skoda Rapid Monte Carlo Edition will be a sound reply to the latest entrant Verna which is just a month away from launch

As reported last year Skoda is working on the updating the interior of sedans in the Indian market. Recently Skoda launched its updated Octavia here in Indian market which it’s one of the premium sedan here in the Indian market. But here is good news for the people looking for more options in affordable sedan category. Skoda is all set to launch Rapid Monte Carlo in Indian market next coming months, it is speculated that Skoda might bring this car in the market by festive season.

Skoda launched Rapid Monte Carlo internationally back in 2015 based on its existing international model of Rapid. In Indian market the Rapid Monte Carlo will be based on its existing model here in Indian market but will be done on same lines as International model. Car will come with the Red paint scheme on the exterior side with all black grill and will also have wing mirrors and will be sporting 16-inch alloy wheels and a spoiler with black paint scheme that gives this car a very elegant look.

Rapid Monte Carlo gets all black theme interiors. India based model will get an aluminum scuff plates, faux-carbon fibre trim on the dashboard which is unique in itself, car also gets multi-functional flat bottom steering wheel which is now seen in almost all the upcoming premium cars. Car also gets upholstery with red
stitching on the gear knob and aluminum sport pedals that redefines its rich interior. People will have to pay Rs. 30,000 more than the standard top end Rapid to own the beauty here in Indian market.

Talking about the specifications, mechanicals of the car remains same 110 bhp, 1.5 litre diesel engine that comes with 5 speed manual and high-tech seven-speed DSG unit as option with automatic , and 1.6 litre petrol engine again with 5 speed manual gearbox and old school six-speed torque converter automatic. Here in Indian market Rapid Monte Carlo competes with Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Hyundai Verna, Honda City and its cousin, the Volkswagen Vento. Rapid comes with elegant and with sportier looks which is a positive highlight of this new edition.
