Suzuki Burgman Street 125 India Launch Done at an attractive price and brings back a hint of Maxi scooters in the Indian market
Suzuki Motorcycle hsa updated their line up with a new product launch for the Indian market. This is the Suzuki Burgman Street 125. The Burgman Street 125 was first showcased to us at the recently held 2018 Auto Expo. This scooter is based on the Access 125 and it also shares the same underpinnings but the design of it is completely different.
The Suzuki Burgman Street 125 is built like a maxi scooter and it will come equipped with a LED headlight unit and a LED tail light unit. It features an extra long seat which also helps to equip a large storage space/boot under it. In addition to this, the Burgman Street 125 features a telescopic front suspension along with a disc brake unit, it also comes equipped with Combined Braking System which is also offered on the recently launched Suzuki Access 125. The scooter is made of fibre.
At a first glance, the Burgman Street 125 can be easily mistaken for a higher capacity scooter (125cc-650cc) from the Burgman range of scooters which is available in the international market. As the name suggests, Suzuki will only introduce the 125cc model in India and the engine is similar to the one powering the Access 125. A bigger engine in the future, from the Gixxer, a 150cc unit could do wonders. The 124cc single cylinder petrol engine produces 8.5 bhp of power at 6,500 rpm and 10.2Nm of twist at 5,000 rpm.
Suzuki Burgman Street 125 is priced at Rs. 68,000 ex-showroom. The scooter gets USB charger as optional. In terms of styling and design, there isn’t any direct competitor for the Burgman Street 125, but it will compete with many 125cc scooters such as the TVS NTorq and Aprilia SR 125 in the Indian market.
