Suzuki GSX-S150 and Suzuki GSX-R150 LAUNCHED! Asian AND International markets get it, India could be next
Suzuki has finally done it. The manufacturer is making sure it stays part of the league where its competition is churning out motorcycles. Honda has pretty much given up on the CBR 150R, but Yamaha is set to get V 3.0. Looks like Suzuki is finally responding to this game. We had rumors running around since 2014 that this bike work is under progress in Suzuki plant in India. These new spy shots confirm that this new motorcycle has same parts from the Indian Gixxer twins that could make its way into Indonesia and India. Both countries important to the manufacturer. We have details of what you can expect.

The design language to be very similar to the Gixxer SF that we have here. However, the original design now comes from the GSX-250R. We can see changes in the fairing panel, a minor change in the headlight and the tail section is all new. Sharper panels on the side marked with loud and big graphics make sure it grabs attention.

Suzuki GSX-S150 and Suzuki GSX-R150 Price and Launch
Launch will happen in late 2017 and prices will be around the same ball park as competition which should be around such as Rs. 1.10-1.20 Lakhs ex-showroom.
Suzuki GSX-S150 and Suzuki GSX-R150 Chassis, suspension and brakes
We can expect the tubular frame seen on the new facelifted Indonesian spec CBR 150R that replaced the perimeter frame. Perimeter could only remain with the R15 V.30 if Yamaha doesn’t have the same plans. Suspension seen here is a monoshock on a the similar swingarm as the 150 Gixxer twins seen here and telescopic forks at the front. Brakes are petal this time to make it more powerful and there should be distinction between both fully faired bikes.
Suzuki GSX-S150 and Suzuki GSX-R150 Engine And Specification
The motorcycle churns out 19.17 BHP of power at 10,000 RPM and 14 Nm of torque of 9000 RPM. Power will be higher up in rev range like the CBR and R15. A low kerb weight of 126 kg for street fighter and 127 for the faird is segment best and make this motorcycle achieve a segment best power to weight ratio too. Liquid-cooling, fuel-injection, 4-valves per cylinder DOHC unit makes it to this engine and taking the performance and price both higher at the same time.
Suzuki GSX-S150 and Suzuki GSX-R150 Safety and Features
ABS could be standard with this new Suzuki when it comes to India if it launches in the year 2017. If it comes earlier than that then Suzuki can offer ABS and non-ABS variants. Features include an entirely new speedo meter which seen here will more substance and more features to showcase on the inside.
