Tata Hexa Launch was much awaited and it is worth it because the value for money quotient is never been highest in this segment
Tata is all set to make things spicier in the market with their one of a kind products. With the Hexa they are targeting the new Toyota Innova and Mahindra XUV head on as both MPV have gone high on quality, refinement and performance. Hexa was supposed to have edge as it will be more value for money with unique features, more bang per buck and a styling that will attract all the eye balls and it does! Hexa has been finally launched in the country and the pricing is simply spectacular by Tata to make sure it takes the market no matter ‘whatever it takes’.
2016 Tata Hexa Design and Dimensions
Hexa has the charm, muscle and poise of a full-grown MPV. The Aria design has been taken and turned upside down and hence the Hexa looks evolutionary. Around 4.7 meter long and 1.6 meter wide that MPV has everything it takes on paper. Futuristic front end with sporty looking rear it does look better and purposeful than its competition by a good margin.
Tata Hexa Launch Interiors and Features
The interiors are truly high quality all around. Class leading fit-finish all around as well. Tata will leave no stone un-turned to make the Hexa look appealing on the inside in every way. All connectivity options such as USB, AUX, Bluetooth and a 10 speaker banging Audio system from Harman are here. Steering with audio and music controls is seen as well.
Harman and Kardon infotainment system are offered also make it along with touch screen and offer more options. Dual zone automatic climate control, for both rows, MID, 8 speakers with sub woofer and amplifier. NAVIMAPS APP, JUKE-CAR APP, TATA SMART REMOTE APP, REVERSE PARKING SYSTEM, ADVANCED DRIVER INFORMATION SYSTEM (DIS), 8-WAY ADJUSTABLE DRIVER’S SEAT, auto headlamps, rain sensing wipers, cruise control, fully electric ORVMs, USB chargers, sunblinds. A class leading space in all three rows, something that the Aria had, has been perfected in the Hexa even more. A lot of boot space even with the 7-seats on.
2016 Tata Hexa Engine And Gearbox
This is the part where the Hexa should have an edge. A 2.2 diesel engine has 156 PS and 400 Nm of torque and is heavily revised mechanically. Even more important news is that Tata is offering a 6-speed gearbox in both manual and automatic trims. Expect sub 14 seconds when it comes 0-100 km/hr. Fuel efficiency will be rated around 14 km/l. The second tune is the 150 PS and 320 Nm that comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The engine is seen on the Safari Varicor 400 and has a new and tougher cylinder block along with new camshafts, springs and of course, to raise the boost and power figures, a new turbocharger is added.
2016 Tata Hexa Chassis, Suspension and Off-road
Hexa gets the revised version of the ladder on frame chassis first seen on the Safari. We expect very well tuned suspension on both ends to make things stable, pliant and offer a good ride quality even with 19-inch inch wheels and it is going to be already better with 16-inch wheels.
Off-road package includes the Land Rover tuned All Wheel Drive system that comes from Borg Warnerâ„¢. Four-wheel drive will be an option along with gearbox options. RWD will be the two-wheel drive option that comes with both gearbox options as well. The drive modes include off-road option which is very much like the Terrain Response seen in Land Rovers.
