Tata Motors Takes Down Honda Cars India with the help of Tiago, promising products from Tata can cause even more damage
Tata Motors is on a roll in the Indian market. After heavy criticism half a decade back it came up with cars that shook the market so hard that it was hard to believe even after experiencing them in every single aspect. Zest and Bolt offered so much in terms refinement, driving dynamics, quality and features that it is still an immediate buying some buyers. However, the Bolt’s pricing let the hatchback down and Tata decided to hit the hatch market again with the Tiago and refined the idea from the siblings before and made a near perfect car.
That car, is the reason it has taken down the Japanese rival, Honda Cars India from the sales list. The Japanese brand is always been fighting Indian car manufacturer such as Mahindra and now Tata has taken over Honda as well. Honda has launched cars one after the other as facelifts or brand new models such as the new Jazz. Mixed reactions for all cars that came questions Honda’s intentions for the Indian market. Customers preferring new and very technologically advanced products with radical approaches to the product are being taken home.
Tata sold 16,311 units last month, which represents a growth of 28% compared to the 12,747 units it sold in October 2015. The Japanese company sold 15,567 units in October 2016 compared to 20,166 cars in the same period in 2015. The Tata Tiago is all set to go to 50,000 more homes as that is amount of bookings and back log that the company has. Most of it is petrol.
An AMT is set to come which will clearly takes the sales a lot higher than we can all imagine, given the success of the approachable and easy to buy and run AMT nature. With more promising products from Tata to come such as the Nexon along with Kite 5 sedan along with BR-V rival and Honda City rivals RUMOURED to come before 2022 will the same approach as today is surely to take Tata to new heights
