Tata Safari 1.9 Litre Diesel Engine spied along with XUV 500 will get a new military green color as well
Tata’s Safari has been something special for the brand and its customers worldwide. The cult following and iconic stance and styling makes it stand out like no other in the segment. The performance, the off-road ability and every thing else associated with the iconic SUV continues till date even after a decade of launch. To make sure it continues from strength to strength, Tata decided to give it make overs ever year to keep it in the loop. Delhi diesel ban took on the Safari like other SUV’s in the market and despite its gone, Tata is making sure it gets the medicine to avoid this fever. Late but not weak, Tata Safari 1.99 diesel engine has been spotted for the first time with its arch rival Mahindra XUV 500 1.9 diesel engine. We have some details and speculations for you.
Tata Safari 1.9 Litre Diesel Engine Automatic Engine, Gearbox and Mileage
The engine is the highlight and it will be the 1.9 litre unit making the same amount of horsepower and torque. 140 BHP and 320 Nm numbers will stay with small changes to it. Turbocharger will be tweaked and block will be a new unit. The engine will be more efficient and emission friendly then before too. Gearbox is expected to be the 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic that will come as the arch rival also offering both trims with the new engine. It won’t be surprising to see this engine not just in Delhi but everywhere.
Tata Safari 1.9 Litre Diesel Engine Design and Dimensions
The styling and design will remain the same as before. The front grille, bonnet and bumpers will stay same and at the rear we can expect LED treatment to make differ and become a MY2017 model as well. Dimensions will be the same as well. What is new though is the new military green color that will make its way to the car and will be one hell of a looker!

Tata Safari 1.9 Litre Diesel Engine Chassis, suspension and off-road
The SUV has the new ladder on frame chassis which has been tweaked to offer less body roll and much more poise in straight lines and around the corners. 17-inch wheels, disc brakes on all ends will offer good stopping power. 4×4 will be offered in both automatic and manual transmission with lower range ratio.

Interiors have been screwed better then ever before and it will have all black interiors with grey seats. Features set will include USB, Bluetooth, AUX and iPod connectivity. Electric ORVM and climate control, steering mounted audio and phone controls and much more can be expected with this SUV.
Tata Safari 1.9 Litre Diesel Engine Launch and Price
Launch is slated to happen just around Diwali 2016, which is around October-November 2016. Prices will remain similar to that what they are now.

The 7-seater SUV comes with modern electronics such as ABS, EBD and traction control will make sure things are safe. Dual airbags will be standard on all variants shortly.
